Born and raised in the North Bay, Dr. Wagner has practiced most of his career in Petaluma. He treats patients (which he calls kids) of all ages and holds a Fellowship with the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association, (F.I.C.P.A.) specializing in infant, child and maternity Chiropractic care. He is also certified in the Webster Technique, which can help a breech fetus re-position itself for the proper birthing position. Dr. Wagner often treats many members of the same family providing pain relief as well as wellness care.

Dr. Wagner discovered his love of Chiropractic healing in his early twenties when he had sought out treatment for an injury. At that time, he believed he was on his career path as a Journeyman Sheetmetal Worker. While suffering an injury to his low back and pelvis, he was referred to a local chiropractor. After receiving treatment and recovering from his injury, he was amazed how chiropractic used the body’s natural innate intelligence to heal itself.

He continued his career as a Sheet Metal Journeyman for the next several years, and continued to see his Chiropractor, always having an interest in holistic medicine. Soon after the birth of his son, Dr. Wagner evaluated his career opportunities and decided to pursue his new passion of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. At the age of 28 he embarked on this 2nd career, and began his undergraduate studies at Santa Rosa Junior College. After completion, he then moved he and his family halfway across the United States to attend Logan College of Chiropractic, located just outside of St. Louis, MO. At the age of 36 his dream came true as he earned his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
It was in the midwest that Dr. Wagner had his first opportunity to practice in Southern Illinois, filling in for a Doctor who was in late stages of pregnancy and was looking for someone to take over her practice while she was on maternity leave. This is where Dr. Wagner found his niche with pregnancy and pediatric care. Chiropractic care can help with labor and delivery, and since children and infants often experience dysfunction within their body that can hinder growth, working with these patients was extremely rewarding. After moving back to his hometown in California in 2001, as this is where he wanted to raise his son, Dr. Wagner continued his education with the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association (ICPA), and he earned his Fellowship with the ICPA as well as being certified in the Webster Technique in 2003.
Family and community are very important to Dr. Wagner. He resides in Petaluma with his wife, Lori, a Marketing Director. Their daughter, Grace, is a student at Michigan State University. Their son, Gage, also lives in California, works for the United States Navy, and recently married. Dr. Wagner joyfully officiated their wedding. He has been involved with Cub Scouts, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Mentor Me, Petaluma People Services Center, Chambers of Commerce, and he has always been a volunteer at his children’s schools. “Service Above Self” is not only the Rotary motto, it is also a tenet that he lives by. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Petaluma Sunrise since 2002, is a Past President, Past District Membership Chair, Current Board Member, is currently the Rotary club of Petaluma Sunrise’s Membership Chair. He holds three Paul Harris Awards, and is the founder of the Rotary Club of Petaluma Sunrise’s Easter Egg Hunt which is a completely free event for families in the North Bay.

The Chiropractic community is prominent in Dr. Wagner’s life. He has been a member of the California Chiropractic Association since 2000, where he has served as Treasurer in 2003-2004 and as President of the California Chiropractic Association of the North Bay in 2004-2005 He actively works to stay involved in not only the annual required training but is a believer of lifelong learning. He has studied ASL, (American Sign Language,) and Conversational Spanish, along with EMT, (Emergency Medical Training,) Astronomy, Yoga, and Nutrition, just to name a few. He is a sports enthusiast, and you can often find him free diving or scuba diving, fishing and golfing or cheering for his local teams the Giants, 49ers and Warriors, and recently became a Michigan State Spartans fan as well. When not in the office, he also enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, camping, or just being in the great outdoors.

Dr. Wagner is a firm believer in innate intelligence — that the body has the ultimate power to heal itself and energy to maintain itself. Chiropractic care helps to remove any interference to the innate intelligence of the body, thus relieving pain and working to keep the body in optimum condition. Happy and healthy is another tenet that he lives by, and Dr. Wagner works tirelessly to provide both happiness and health to his patients, family, and community.

I injured my back over 20 years ago in the military and then my neck in a motorcycle accident so have been to many chiropractors over the years. Dr. Wagner is top notch. I’ve found that allot of chiropractors just do the same basic set of adjustments every time regardless of what’s wrong with you. Dr. Wagner actually listens, evaluates and only adjusts what and where is needed. I was surprised to see someone comment that they felt he jerked their neck? With my past neck injury Dr. Wagner has adjusted my neck many times and I’ve never felt any rough treatment. He has even adjusted one of my daughters. With a specialty of working with children you obviously know how to be gentle.
I have highly recommended Dr. Wagner to several people and will continue to do so!

Ahhhh…. I’m in love with a married man!! I went for my first ever visit yesterday evening. We did the whole consultation/evaluation thing and an adjustment. I have never been to a chiropractor before… i just woke up last week with unbearable neck/back pain and couldn’t move like i should have been able to. So i searched around and found Dr. Wagner on here and thought I’d give it a shot. I think I’m hooked.

Was having really bad lower back pain called to hopefully get in with him the same day. Was surprised when I called and Dr. Wagner picked up. I first asked if he accepted my insurance and then described my problem area. He instructed me to come in when he opened later that day to see him. I got there and was greeted by Dr. Wagner. After I finished my paperwork I went into his consult room where we went over my problem area and he described to me what he does and how chiropractors can eliminate pain. I was adjusted and it felt amazing. I’m going for a follow up appointment in a couple days. dr. Wagner was patient and funny. Will definitely be back 🙂
