Dr. George Wagner is a Native Petaluman, who became interested in the body's ability to heal itself naturally when he visited a Chiropractor in his early twenties. He was amazed at the pain relief and overall wellness achieved through the Chiropractic adjustments he received. After graduating from Petaluma High School, the Denver Institute of Technology for HVAC, and working for several years as a Union Sheet Metal Journeyman, he was able to realize his dream of going back to school and becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. He lived in Ballwin, Missouri, attended school, and In 1999 he graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri with his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. His first Chiropractic position was in Benton, Illinois, where he worked with a pregnant Chiropractor, ultimately taking over the office while she was on maternity leave. At that time, Dr. Wagner became very interested in the positive effects of Chiropractic treatment in children, and how it can also help with pregnancy and child birth. After returning to his hometown of Petaluma in 2000, Dr. Wagner earned his fellowship with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is a Certified Pediatric Specialist. He has been a Chiropractor in Petaluma since 2001, and while he works with patients of all ages, he does have specialized training in working with children and pregnant women. Education is very important to Dr. Wagner. He continually attends Continuing Education Chiropractic lectures and seminars, as well as classes on various topics from Emergency Medical Training, to Spanish, to Wine Tasting and Nutrition. He is also involved in many community and Chiropractic related organizations. He served as President of the California Chiropractic Association North Bay District, Member of International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, President of Petaluma Sunrise Rotary, Board member of Petaluma Boys & Girls Club, Secretary of Petaluma People Services Center Board, Member of Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce, Graduate of Petaluma Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class, Boy Scout Den Leader, and Meadow School Volunteer. He started the Petaluma Sunrise Rotary's Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt, and Petaluma Sunrise Rotary's Dinner Around the World Fund-raiser.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors and being with his family. He is an avid abalone diver and fisherman, and can often be found on his kayak along the Sonoma or Mendocino coast. When time permits you may also find him snowboarding or skiing, water skiing, or hiking in the Sierra Mountains. He also enjoys cooking and gardening. Dr. Wagner lives in Petaluma with Lori, an advertising and marketing manager, and their children, Gage, a student at Ex'pression College, and Grace, a student at Meadow Elementary. The family attends many of the local fund raisers and events in Petaluma as the community is very important to them.
